Any airline ticket contains 13 or 14 digits. The first 5 or 6 digits follow a coding system designed by IATA. The first 3 digits represents the airline service, the next two or three digits indicate what kind of ticket it is (paper, electronic, etc..) and the next 7 or 8 digits are to track the each individual ticket.
These codes are available in International Air Transport Association (IATA) code directory For e.g 001 represents American airlines 125 British airways 131 Japan airlines etc..
